April 11 2018 – NEWLY appointed MDC T president Nelson Chamisa, who has been on a charm offensive in Zimbabwe, will be holding, his first rally for Zimbabweans in SA this week on Sunday in Johannessburg.
In a statement released, this week, the party’s Johannesburg district, says Chamisa under the Alliance banner will hold a rally at Rabie Ridge Community Hall in Tembisa.
“President Nelson “bullet trains” Chamisa accompanied by the Alliance partners will this Sunday meet their sons and daughters in Mzanzi,” says Johannesburg District’s Information and Publicity secretary Simbarashe Mujeyi.
Chamisa who succeeded the late Morgan Tsvangirai,as President’s rallies in Zimbabwe have been a subject of great debate and controversy, as the youthful leader criss crosses the country to garner support for the impeding presidential and general elections later this year
However Mujeyi remains upbeat about Chamisa’s rally,in a country that hosts millions of Zimbabwe and remains political hotbed for Zimbabwean poitics.
“The rally comes at a time when Zimbabweans, both at home and in diaspora have reached a Generational Consensus that the levers of power should be entrusted into the hands of the young generation,” adds Mujeyi. – Patience Rusere
